New Transmission Line Engineered and Constructed for Electricity Reliability
I.B. Abel’s Utility Services team completed all electrical construction work for a new double circuit 69kV transmission line that spans approximately two miles in Lewisburg, PA. Tapping off of an existing 69kV line and ending at a pump house substation, crews worked safely and diligently every inch of the way to engineer and construct high-quality results that increased electricity reliability.
This project included the installation of antivibration dampers and marker balls over the Susquehanna River, as well as complete installation of the following:
- 1.7 miles of dual circuit 556 ACSR conductor
- 0.4 miles of dual circuit 795 ACSS conductor
- 2 miles of OPGW
- 7 custom poles on foundations
- 17 LD poles and 2 switch poles
- 2 MOLBABs
