EXECUTIVE TEAM

Robert L. Zillweger

Chief Executive Officer

Robert Zillweger currently serves as I.B. Abel’s Chief Executive Officer. He joined I.B. Abel in 2010 as the Director of Safety & Quality, later moved into a Vice President of Operational Support, and has served as our Chief Operating Officer since 2018. Robert has experience as an IBEW Journeyman Lineman with completion certificates from the Federal Department of Labor, Pennsylvania Department of Labor, and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. He is an active partner representing I.B. Abel in the statewide Keystone Utilities Partnership and served as the point of contact to process funding for Statewide Crane Operator Training for eligible participants. Robert is a Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP).

Jason P. Motter

Chief Operating Officer

Jason Motter currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer. He has been with I.B. Abel in 2010 and has served in various roles; Foreman, Estimator, Project Manager, Manager of Project Management, WEEVE Manager, Distribution Operations Manager, Regional Director, and Vice President of Utility Services. Jason has experience as an IBEW Journeyman Lineman from Local Union 126. He also has experience working in the outside electrical construction field since 2005.

Dennis L. Geiger, Jr.

Chief Business Development Officer

Dennis Geiger has been with I.B. Abel since 1990, and currently serves as the Chief Business Development Officer. He previously held the position of Vice President, Electrical Services for 12 years overseeing our commercial, industrial and substation work. He holds an Associate of Applied Science Degree from the Pennsylvania College of Technology and has completed a five-year electrical apprenticeship program with I.B. Abel. Dennis has hands-on experience in the HVAC and electrical fields, in addition to a background in electrical estimating and project management.

Jeffrey L. Zarfoss, CPA

Chief Financial Officer

Jeffrey Zarfoss has been with I.B. Abel since 2009 as the Chief Financial Officer. Jeff spent his first 11 years performing audit and tax services at a regional public accounting firm, where he held the position of Senior Manager. He is also a Certified Public Accountant with more than 17 years of financial experience in the construction field. Jeff earned a Bachelor’s of Science and Business Administration in Accounting from Shippensburg University.

Stephanie Kennedy

Chief Human Resources Officer

Stephanie Kennedy joined I.B. Abel in 2020 and currently serves as the Chief Human Resources Officer. Stephanie has over 20 years of progressive Human Resources experience including achievements in Organizational and Leadership Development, Talent Acquisition, Succession Planning and Employee Engagement. Stephanie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Organizational/Leadership Studies from the University of Wisconsin Parkside and her Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Keller Graduate School of Management. Stephanie has also maintained her SPHR Certification since 2014.

Waylon Boyer

Vice President, Electrical Services

Waylon Boyer joined the IB Abel team in 2019 and serves as the Vice President of Electrical Services. Waylon became an IBEW Local 5 member in 2002 and completed a five year apprenticeship before going on to hold positions of Journeyman, Foremen, General Foreman, Superintendent, Project Manager, and Senior Project Manager. He has vast experience in electrical construction including sporting venues, hospitals, casinos, and hyperscale data centers for nationally recognized clients.

James R. Trebilcock

Vice President, Communication Division

James Trebilcock has been with I.B. Abel since 1990, and has served as Vice President of the Communications Division since 2006. His experience is well-rounded having served in the positions of Estimator, Project Manager, and Division Manager. Jim completed the I.B. Abel five-year electrical apprenticeship program, various trainings through BICSI (Building Industry Consulting Services International), and earned his RCDD (Registered Communication Distribution Designer) Certification in 2000. He has a background in communication and electrical construction with experience working in the field since 1988.

Ryan Jones

Vice President, Substation Services

Ryan Jones joined I.B. Abel in 2017 and currently serves as Vice President, Substation Services. Ryan has worked in the electric utility industry since 2003. He has wide range of experience in the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of electrical systems. Ryan earned an electrical engineering degree from Villanova University.
