I.B. Abel worked closely with one of the world’s largest shipping companies to complete the main electrical underground work covering 130+ crews and a new distribution center spanning over 1,000,000 square feet for the warehouse distribution center and all support buildings. The team diligently worked for our client and was honored to receive a National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) Award for this project during NECA’s 2022 Project Excellence Awards event.
During the peak, 35 full-time employees installed the main power distribution, starting with a main 69kV substation and downsized to seven smaller 12.47KVA substations throughout the job site. A main control house was set, as well as a new lighting protection system.
