York Expo Center
In 1916, I.B. Abel was the electrical contractor that connected the then 5
day York Fair. Over the years, this has grown to one of the largest exposition centers in Central Pennsylvania. Since
1916 we have grown with them and have worked continually with the York Fair to modernize and improve their facility.
We work to their schedule to have electricians available when they need them, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
We have added modern lighting for the fair grounds and designed and installed power distribution boxes to connect and
remove the electric to the many types of temporary attractions that are brought in for the different shows. We have
replaced their overhead high voltage distribution system to accommodate the ever increasing electrical demands.
Some of the projects include:
- Installed area lighting over a large portion of the grounds
- Rewired many of the existing buildings
- Replaced and up-graded the high voltage distribution
- Designed and installed distribution boxes for temporary attractions
