I.B. Abel provided design/build services to Phoenix Contact for the construction of their new warehouse and distribution facility. In order to facilitate communications during the design process, the Abel team traveled to Germany to review the design parameters for the building.
The project involved upgrading the existing 15KV main electrical service to accommodate the existing facility as well as the new distribution center through new primary switchgear and (2) new 2000KVA unit substations. The project also involved design and installation of secondary electrical distribution system through step down transformers and associated panel boards.
I.B. Abel installed a state of the art lighting and low voltage power distribution system in the warehouse, distribution center, offices, ancillary and social rooms. I.B. Abel also designed and installed the new telecommunications, voice/data, fiber backbone, paging, security, card access, and fire alarm systems, including coordination for a successful tie in to the existing systems.
Electrical work on the site involved the installation of parking lot lighting and the installation and certification of a complete building lightning protection system.
